What differs between the two

An UpMenu alternative is another tool for QR menus and ordering, and the main difference here is how each is priced. UpMenu's pricing page lists modules per location with no named plans, and says all prices are monthly and net, excluding VAT/GST.

QckOrder has plans with a flat monthly price and no commission on orders. For a wider look at what a menu costs, read the QR menu cost guide.

Who should pick QckOrder

QckOrder suits a venue whose guests scan a code, read the menu on their phone and send an order, while staff handle orders in a dashboard. It is a good fit if you want one plan price to plan around instead of adding modules.

  • Guests and staff use a web browser, so there is no app to install.
  • Each location has one QR code, and you can print as many copies of it as you need.
  • Staff see new orders when they open or refresh the orders list in the dashboard.
  • You enter the menu in Polish, English, Italian, Spanish and Japanese, and guests pick one in the menu header.

Who may prefer UpMenu

A venue that wants an ordering storefront on its website, online payment or a link to its till system today should look at UpMenu. Its pricing page lists a commission-free online ordering storefront, an online payment module and till integrations. QckOrder has none of these.

UpMenu also lists multi-language menus on its pricing page without giving a count, so ask the vendor how many languages you get.

  • Guests pay the venue by cash or card, and staff mark the order as paid in the dashboard.
  • QckOrder does not connect to a till or cash register system.
  • Items have no options or extras, so add each size or variant as its own menu item.

QckOrder and UpMenu side by side

Every UpMenu cell comes from the vendor's own pages and carries a source number. Compare like for like: UpMenu's online ordering module has an order cap, and its prices are per location and per module.
